Hey, on a ride on the weekend in some terrible weather on dartmoor my stock 2.1 crossmarks on my anthem just didnt cut it, they slipped all over the place in the slightest of wet and caused a couple of falls. So with winter on its way im looking at a set of winter tyres. I ride mostly trails and xc on dartmoor and at haldon.
i'm looking at these but any other suggestions would be appreciated
Bontrager Mud X 2.0 tyres

I love the Mud X for winter riding. The grip real well in the mud but also run quite well on harder surfaces and even on tarmac to and from my local trails.0

used a set of 1.8 sausers last winter and they performed well in soft conditions cutting though mud etc, although not great on wet roots.
Have had a 2.0 on the front most of this summer (fast trac on back) and the bigger footprint has improved grip (although have gone tubeless as well running lower pressures), so not had the same problem on roots. Just put another on the back last night but not had chance to test in anger yet.0
