Big Sweep Bar or Riser

Just picked up a Trek (Fisher) Mamba 29er in the sales for bombing around with the kids.

The bike comes with Big Sweep 15 degree bars, which seem to be a bit of a marmite component. Problem is I don't know whether to love 'em or loath 'em - they just feel weird.

Can anyone out there give me the benefit of their wisdom re: sweep bars, or whether going to a more familar riser would make sense.

Bit of a noob question, but I'm venturing over from the dark side where I ride on that tarmac stuff....

Thanks

Russ

The sweep will obviously bring the end of the bars towards you, if the cockpit feels a bit cramped, you may need to go for a zero sweep. Obviously the rise is the rise of the bar from the stem interface...it can be a pain in the ass getting it right !
