What should I spend it on? If its a worthwhile upgrade am willing to spend on top but please explain what makes it worthwhile. I've been cycling last few years and don't really understand upgrades but do enjoy a good ride. Don't do sportives but rides are usually 30 miles long and as fast as possible! I really notice the difference between my 2 bikes.
Thanks

If you're struggling to find something to spend it on I'll take it off your hands

Depends what you want, personally i'd get some more clothes for the winter to make my riding as comfortable as possible and maybe a new saddle. I doubt the bike itself really needs any upgrades.
  • I've got a long sleeved jersey, a Gore xenon wind stopper long sleeved top and shoes. I put my running lycra underneath my padded shorts for winter and some overshoes covers.
Any suggestions what clothes I should head for?
    Is a turbo trainer worthwhile?

Turbo trainers are another thread alltogether . . . . I know guys who use theirs all the time but they tend to take their training very seriously. I use mine once a month or so if the weathers bad but I also use it as a workstand while setting up my bikes.

I quite like riding in the cold weather so if it were me I'd buy base layers, hat, the best gloves, socks etc or maybe treat myself to some more nice jerseys.

i would have bought the bike for £1200 in the first place rather than £1500 and pocketed the £300 differnence
  • Put it towards a pair of Assos socks :)
  • Shimano RS80 wheels for £300.

Then sell the DT wheels and spend the proceeds on clothes - e.g. some warm bibtights would be better than what you currently do.

A tentative +1 but since you ride winter (it's obvious - you have the bike) I'd consider the kit rather than the wheels. Nice computer for the best bike maybe?
