    Official live ticker here: http://www.lavuelta.com/11/en/resultado ... .html?e=10
    Start times: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/nuyens- ... start-list

There are big time gaps opening up, even if you just look at riders who you can reasonably assume are actually trying. Rodriguez is probably in trouble today.

Wiggins is the next rider of any real interest to start, followed by all the other GC contenders, and he's not off until 3.20 UK time.

Tony Martin is home. He has battered everyone, including Cancellara by 1:27.

The standings look like this for now:

    1 77 Martin 55:54
    2 102 Cancellara + 1:27
    3 33 Phinney + 1:33
    4 207 Santos_Oliveira + 2:19
    5 105 O'grady + 2:20
    6 75 Grabsch + 3:00
    7 79 Velits + 3:02
    8 32 Kohler + 3:31
    9 114 Konovalovas + 3:32
    10 214 Keizer + 3:34
  • Tony Martin...I think he is more fitting than Phil Taylor of that nickname: 'The Power'

My goodness! He's put minutes into people.

Although Taylor Phinney's time is also impressive...but what's ahppened to Grabsch?

    Edit: LOL @ Boonen

Not just any time trial. A Vuelta time trial. Not just any Vuelta time trial. A Vuelta time trial on a Bank Holiday Monday.

That's like the absolute zero of boredom right there.

But there you are, 2 minutes before the TV coverage starts, quickly commenting before switching it on just to see what happens...

    Of course!

Sampling ITV4 for the first time thanks to Eurosport's no-show too.
  • Properly excited about Wiggins getting into the jersey in a major tour. My guess is that he will absolutely rip it up, will be within 30 seconds of Martin, will put at least 2 mins into all the other contenders, and 3-4 mins into J-Rod et al.

    Ditto. What's all that about.

World TT should be interesting this year. Cancellera hasn't found form since spring.

Think it's because of the US Open delayed start. Apparently tennis players can't play in hurricanes, the wimps.

I think Cancellara will lose his world TT title this year, hasn't shown anything like his normal form this year.

Is that Menchov riding a Giant TT bike??

Wiggins is a beauty to watch on the TT bike. Total fluidity. Take them out.

It's 35%, so it is actually possible to get off and walk and still make the cut.

Being bored I did some calculations I'm now crossing fingers for Wiggo to ride a ridiculous 49.25 and get Boonen cut
