Hi,
I'm starting my lejog on 21/8/2011 and my route can be viewed http://nigellejog.wordpress.com/the-route/
Apart from the start and finish lines does anyone have any suggestions of 'must have' photos that I should take (without going too far out my way).

Thanks for your help.
Regards

I was really bad at taking photos so I ended up with Clifton Suspension bridge, Severn crossing, Mersey Ferry, a couple on Shap fell (because I was going quite slowly)bridge at Inverness, Cromarty-Nigg ferry and JOG. So bridges and other water crossings are my main photographic memories!!

However, depending on your route there are some superb scenes to snap particularly in Scotland, though whether you'll see them through the cloud is another matter. :D

If I did it again I would probably snap moments when I felt great or crap - which can happen at any time and in any scenery - because I think they are the moments you will look back on in years to come. Therefore I would have many pictures in Monmouth after three days when I felt the wrong side of s###e, and some in the Highlands approaching Aberfeldy and on to Tummel Bridge when the riding was hard but the scenery made it such a fantastic day.

    Whatever - enjoy.

    Thanks very much for that.
I shall endeavor to whip out my camera whenever I get the opportunity.
    Urquart castle on Loch Ness
I'll be doing Cromarty ferry so no doubt on there.
Would love to see the dolphins on the Black Isle etc

Might checkout location based photography on flikr for parts of my route for inspiration.

How can there be 'must have' photos? If you take the photos everyone takes, you'll have the photos everyone takes. Your trip, your photos.

'I do not believe in the three-speed gear at all', the sergeant was saying. 'It is a newfangled instrument, it crucificies the legs, the half of the accidents are due to it.' (From 'The Third Policeman')
