I'm trying to remove the crank arms from my 2009 Ultegral SL and for the life of me I cannot get the end cap off (tbh, I'm not even sure which way I should be turning it).

Anyone got any bright ideas?

I've already been spraying it with GT85 on a regular basis and will be trying again this weekend.

You've undone the pinch bolts completely, and waggled the hell out of the crank arms, and checked to see if there's one of them little washers in the pinch bolts, pulling it out if there is?

Sometimes they need a bit a whack to unstick things, but I'm not too sure exactly which model you're talking about - pictures?
They're normal RH-thread, by the way.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

    What Davis said.

From memory, you turn the cap anti-clockwise to undo it.

Do you have the correct tool to remove the cap? The other end should have the tool for removing the BB.
