why do my brake levers stick so my brakes don't work

    Because there's something wrong with them.

    That's about as much help as I can be, given the information you've provided.

    You're going to have to elaborate a little. Are the calipers moving when you operate the levers? Are the pads all present and correct and not loose in the calipers? Do the pads correctly make contact with the rim when you operate the levers? Is it a 2nd hand bike?

    ye the calipers moving when i operate the levers but just dont pull the bracks in

    The brake pad is attached to the caliper, so it must move when the caliper moves. Is it just not correctly adjusted for reach?

    A pic of the caliper would be useful.
