Loose cassette (HG50 on M525 hub)?

I've got a fair bit of rattling coming from my rear wheel and noticed that my cassette is loose on the freehub body. There is no side to side movement but plenty of up and down movement. The lock ring is tight so not that. Could the freehub body be loose? Just wanted to check before I start taking things apart.

Any ideas?

Thanks

take it apart and see. yes it is likely to be the body being lose or the bearings or the body has shrunk in the wash.

Cheers. Will take it apart tomorrow. When you say bearings do you mean the hub bearings (which I can get at) or the bearings inside the freehub?

    Thanks
