Can you patch latex inner tubes?

Just holed a brand new Michelin Latex inner tube whilst fitting it. Is it OK to use puncture repair glue and patches? I have used them and the tyre has stayed up for 2 hours but Im wondering if the glue might eventually dissolve the latex or something?

Yes it's completely fine. Using a cut up old latex tube for patches is better than regular ones though, but you'll have no problem.
