My current Pearl Izumi mtb shoes have a very rigid sole and, while very good for power transfer on the bike, are cumbersome when running to the point of feeling like I've got clogs on. Any advice on brands/ models that are more versatile?

I have a pair of Cannondale 'Carve' MTB shoes which work pretty well off the bike - the sole has a bit of flex in it. Not sure if they're still available though...

When I went into Hargroves to buy some cyclocross shoes (I've never done cyclocross before and planning to do it this winter) they told me that most of their cyclocross team use the mid range Specialized shoes, so I believed them and bought the Expert model they recommended for cross.
