Beginners new Forest MTB ride Sunday 7th August *CANCELLED*

Hello :D

We regularly ride in the New Forest and we are planning an easy beginners ride on Sunday 7th August. The idea was so that non-MTBing girlfriends / partners / friends of our usual group can come and join in, and see what it's all about!

It'll be a sociable ride and a nice route with lots of stops for lunch, ice cream etc – you get the picture.

If anyone would like to come along please PM me for more details.

    Ha ha, no, this ride will definitely be a more leisurely pace :lol:

    It will be great to see you again and your daughter will be very welcome - it should be a good (hopefully sunny!) sociable day 8)

    We ride all over the forest - mostly from Fordingbridge. This ride will be a nice easy one for beginners or people that want a taster of riding there!

    How far do you expect to cycle on the day?
    I'm just returning to MTBing after an injury and this might be ideal for me as I'm generally looking for lots of 'tame' riding to do!

    I don't know about actual mileage, but it certainly won't be an epic ! There will also be lots of opportunities to peel off earlier if people want to :D

    We have only just got back from our hols so haven't quite got our brains into gear on this one yet, but will do shortly and will let everyone know about the starting point, times etc :D

    Right, we will meet at the Fighting Cocks pub in Godshill at 10am on 7th August for the beginners / easy ride. We will probably ride for a couple of hours or so, and then back to the pub for a drink or lunch 8)
