maybe the lack of response is due to the fact that you've posted this question in the road section.

haha, no this is for my road bike!! I have a peugeot puymorens from the 80s, need to replace the pads and shoes but have only delt with disc brakes in the past! any help would be much appreciated thanks

didn't know if these would be right as I think they may be for mtbikes!

Kool-Stop salmon compound or dual compound are THE pad for aluminium alloy rims. Not sure if they come in your fitting, but they do various versions so the chances are high. Not the easiest pads to find mind. Wiggle do some, as do SJS Cycles.

    Good luck.

The links you posted show V brake blocks - these will be no good for your old brakes. Don't think V brakes were inventd then! Please Post a pic of your Peugot brake and we can see what is then needed.

Shimano compatible pads & shoes - will prob fit 90% of other brakes (worked on my Tektros)
