After already having one idiot pull across me at a roundabout last night I had another do the same and this one is on his mobile.

I politely point out if he put the phone down he might well have seen me (Had a Castelli fluro yello top on)

I get a real mouthful from the driver telling me I'm a mug and calling in to question my parentage etc etc . Then a police van pull ups next to us.

Said driver still has the phone in his hand.

Who's the mug now? £60 and 3 points isn't it?

This needs a thread on its own for witty comments to shout as you burn off laughing.

"who's the mug, now £60 and 3 points isnt it?" might be tough to beat though.

For a fixed penalty yes, if there are sufficient aggravating circumstances the Police may take it to court where the points would be the same but the fine and costs at least 4 times that for a working person.

    Nice one Gazzaputt!

I hope you pointed and laughed at the moron.

All this fannying around with points and fines ... Personally, I think the minimum punishment for any motoring offence should be having their car crushed to the size of a satsuma. With no appeals process.

Hope the motorist got no clemen(time)cy, and he was grapeful to get away with just a £60 fine. doh!

You could have just blown a raspberry at him as you peeled off, maybe even adding a pip on your horn. We will have to remember the date though as they don't normally get caught and we see them satsuming passed.

    ... Ahem. Sorry.
