Picked this beauty up last night. A 1994 Fat Chance Shock-A-Billy in Aquafade, its sat in a garage for the past 12 years. Needs a fair bit of work as the frame paint work is pretty crazed, the front forks had lost their air and the seat post is pretty stuck in the frame!

No wonder the gears did not work:

Bought from BikeTrek in Ambleside:

Going to have the frame and fork re-finished by Argos cycles along with new Fat Chance decals. I also need to track down a lot of period parts. Ideally looking for Ringle, Grafton and Cook anodized blue parts to really set if off.

    Nice Fat

If you're not on Retrobike.co.uk I'd get over there and get the parts to finish it off

Hope the post can be removed easily, be a shame to FUBAR the post, although you'll be able to get another one

Yep, Retrobike is the place to go. I had a go at doing a 94 Lava Dome but didn't have the patience to find all the right bits. It looks like you have most of the bits you need though un-like me.

    Thanks guys.

Yes i am already on Retrobike. Think the hardest bit will be waiting for the cranks and cantilever's etc that i want to come up for sale. Still its a waiting game and i am in no rush to get it finished.
