Hi

Just wanted to know if anyone had used a company called rentalbikeitaly.com or any similar Italian ones?

Im doing a trip from Venice to Rome and I cant be bothered taking my own bike for such a short trip so I thought I would hire one and drop it off in Rome.

    A very useful link. Did you ask them for a quote? How much would it cost?

    It depended on the Bike. About 16 euros a day and 30 for insurance. There was a cost of 150 euros for the pick up and drop off of the bike in Venice and Rome which put me off. Overall it worked out cheper to take my own bike. If I was using the bike and handing it back into the same place then I would avoid this 150 euro charge so it would make sence if you were just doing some local cycling.

    Interesting. Thanks for that. You could also do a circular trip. In fairness, 150€ doesn't sound a lot for someone to drive from Venice to Rome and back - but a bit painful if there's only one of you.
