Sore throat and cough....

I'm off to the Alps next week and have developed a sore throat and cough.

Fully aware of rule 5 but need to keep up with mates.

Any and all home remedies considered except possibly where they include goats.....don't trust goats!

    Tablespoon of honey, inch of whiskey, inch if lemon juice in a tumbler. Top up with boiling water and stir till it all mixes together. Drink it and it'll help the throat.

    Gargling with hot salty water will help kill any bacteria in your throat too.
