Up and coming Italian rider Diego Ulissi from Tuscany scored his first grand tour win in todays 17th stage in a controversial finish which ended in Giovanni Visconti being relegated to 3rd place for dangerous riding. It will be interesting to see the replay on Eurosport tonight.

Ulissi is an honorary member of London and Watford cycling club The Gregarios Superclub Ciclista, and this win undoubtedly makes him The Gregarios' best rider.

Ulissi's palmares includes two back to back junior world road titles. As a second year pro, and still only 21, he also came second this year in both the Coppi-Bartali, and the final stage of the Paris-Nice breaking away with Tommy Voeckler.
