Reims

Great area but Reims itself is a pain to get in and out of by bike. I would find a hotel in one of the smaller towns like Chalons or Epernay. For me the countryside south of Reims cycling through the vineyards and woods and stopping for the occasional Champagne tasting is a great way to spend a few days. Don't let me put you off Reims itself it is a very interesting city with much to see.
