April 2009, paper seller collapses and dies in a London street during G20 protests.
Met take no action

Video footage appears in newspapers of assault preceding collapse.
Met engage incompetent and/or corruptible pathologist and officers attend post mortem.
Death due to coronary artery disease announced as PM finding
Met do nothing

Further PM's commissioned after family involvement
Three PM's record cause of death as internal bleeding
DPP regrets to announce that prosecution can't be brought as conflicting medical evidence means no prospect of successful prosecution.

Inquest (2 years later) records unlawful killing and the sh*t finally starts to hit the fan.

Three weeks of looking for wriggle room later the DPP announces there will be manslaughter trial after all.

I am sure there are ways of convincing the British public that their police force doesn't think of itself as above the law but this sure as hell isn't it.
