as in... he can leave me in his dust when we go out riding.
And he's not even particularly sporty but then nor am I a fat unfit slug.
(Sigh)
Can't wait until he starts dropping his dad, though, heeheee...

Don't worry about it. I've long given up trying to keep up with mine, he was 8 when he first dropped me on a long climb :(

I was taking part in the Circle of Hope ride at the start of May. Young lad (12years old) asked if I was doing the 100 mile ride too! I was only up for doing the 50 lol.

Its amazing what kids can do, my 3 year old can to 5 miles.

That must have been my son!! He got lost part way round and still finished in front of me!

If he got lost just before Worlds End then yep , he was with four of us. He was doing very well, good pace considering he was doing the 100.

Yes, he ended up heading up towards the Panorama (I think that is what it is called), I got a bit worried when I asked a marshal if they had seen him and they said he hadn't come through (I knew he was in front of me!!) Thankfully he appeared about 1 minute later!

He got lost again at about 65 miles when he was misdirected at a water-stop, I don't think they thought he was in the ride.

He ended up riding with two blokes with Wallace and Grommit shirts to Malpas, but they started to drop him as he got there, so he had a brief stop and completed the last 45 miles totally on his own!

Thanks for looking after him :) Small world!

    No problem.

Its a shame that some prat saw fit to move the direction markers. It happened last year too in the same area if memory serves. I think come next year I should be able to remember most of the 50 not to get lost. :D
