I've been using this forum for some time now and today I decided to post my humble and fairly new Focus Cayo 4.0. It is not a top spec by any standards and I'm sure I won't impress anyone with my built-on-a-student-budget steed but I sure am proud to ride it every time.

Future upgrades, as soon as I have the funds, include a set of lighter wheels & tyres (probably some sort of Ksyriums, depending on budget),a 53-39t crankset (thinking of FSA SL-K series/Sram Red) and probably will change to a Fizik Aliante saddle.

Other than that, it is very nice to ride, nippy on the hills and accurate on descends, at least by my standards.

It looks well set up. The stem is noteworthy on account of its length.

Thanks Jim, it is quite a looker I must admit :)

@Berk: The stem had to be that size as I'm 5.9 but have got quite short legs compared to the rest of the body. When riding with the stock stem (110mm) I used to get lower back pains 20-25 miles into the ride, considerably better now.

They were trued once when I bought them second-hand (like new) 18 mths ago , not touched since.

Roll for ever, but can be a bit flexy on climbing.

I run a set of 105 hub wheels with open pro rims during the early late season, bike is away for winter.

Was thinking exact same, before I even scrolled down the page

Hi, I was a Canterbury student too a long time ago (Christ Church) but back then I only had a ropey old MTB, not a carbon road bike! I have also joined the Cayo gang this year though, buying a Cayo 2.0 (Ultegra) and have put on Fizik logo bar tape, Ultremo ZX tyres and Ultegra pedals alongside a few other bits. Also tried it out with a Shimano RS30 wheelset once- these looked amazing on the bike but were heavy so I am back on the original DT Swiss wheels until I upgrade properly next year. Taking it to the Pyrannees next year, so hope it holds out!
