The leaders will be heading out soon. At the moment the best time is held by Zabriskie and it looks like a headwind has sprung up meaning that the later starters will be hampered by this.

    Porte in front now.

Phinney crashed early into his run and is way down.

Must be a headwind, Martin, Menchov and Brajkovic have terrible splits.

Saying that, Martin rolls in 5th.

Martin just finished. Only in 5th at this stage.

A lot of us in the PTP have bombed out.

I hope so, but doubt it. Vino looks very good so far, but it is starting to rain a little, so you never know.

Evans might have to make up a few seconds tomorrow and if that's the case, it should be an good stage to watch.

Looks like Martin will shoot up GC even with 5th. No-one else in the top 20 has come anywhere near that.

Seeing as how almost everyone has picked Martin for PTP wher he rolls in shouldn't have too much effect. Unless, like me, you picked him for the GC as well... in which case B@LLOCKS TO THAT HEADWIND!

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

    Yep :(

He might have finished 5th but he's smashed everyone bar Evans in terms of GC contenders.

Yep... being so high up the GC has ironically probably cost him the race!
