Is there a UK equivalent to L'Eroica?

I apologise if this has been asked before, but I can't find an answer. Is there a ride for those of us who like wool jerseys, toe clips (yuck) and steel?

If there isn't one, how about it?

    Not a massive distance, but if you look at the course profile on www.bikehike.co.uk you'll see its quite hilly and its got cracking views.

    Thanks - the Pendle ride looks interesting and I'm sorry I can't make it for this weekend.

    I'm surprised however by the lack of interest - a lot of us like retro bikes and many travel to Italy for L'Eroica - maybe this is the wrong forum?
