    Descent sized boot

Seriously though Audi/BMW etc?The "Vovlo image"isn't what it used to be 8)
  • yeah i've been trying to say such but as she's approaching mid 40's she's of the era when volvo's were big old heavy box's with the farmer stigma!!!
have been nosing through and found some good possabilities, audi's come in with the older more stylish imo 80 range, as trhe A4 cabs are in the £7 1/2k+ range, beemers, well, i guess she'd like ot be allowed out of side roads and junctions in town so thats a No lol! but some of the Saab's look quite good,
think it could be a Merk clk, Saab 9-3, volvo, stylee,

did find a Chysler Le Barron though! :D:D

My 40 something other half has an Astra and I have to say it's pretty good. It's the 2.2 so it goes well and has full leather interia and a good stereo.

The hood is electric and can be put up with the key. I appreciate it isn't the first choice but they get good write ups and as convertibles go are very reliable.
  • aren't most 4 seater convertables more like - "4 seater" convertables.

Ie: yes they have 4 seats, but only freaks/children can actually sit in the 2 in the back.

Plus doesn't the roof usually fill the bootspace when down?

You can get an A4 Cab for below 6k. IMO really nice looking cars, and look good with the roof up or down.

  • she's set now on an Audi 80 drop top, and tbh, dont blame her as they look Great, and if honest, one of the only Audi's i'd have! (the other being the 80 coupe of the same era!)
can pick up a Beuty for under £3k with 50-70k miles, where as with an A4 for £6k your looking well into 100k!
she's hoping to test drive one at a local dealers todayto see if she gets on with it okay or if it just feels poop, but has seen several about the net that take her fancy, and, of the time they did some Stunning colours too! not just the usual boring Silver, black etc.
