Quick Release Skewer sizes

Hi,

I have not been able to find information on the net anywhere.

I have a Shimano rear hub on my rear wheel which came with a quick release skewer and worked fine with my previous Gary Fisher Wahoo aluminium frame.

I have now built up an On One Inbred/456 - the rear wheel fits in fine but the skewer is now too long.

How do I know what skewer size I need? Where do I measure? Is there somewhere I can find out what skewer size I need for the frame?

Thanks in advance!

    just cut it down.

some frames have thinker of thinner drop out than others.

^^^ wot he said; I did that with a Ti skewer ... but measure twice before cutting!!! :?

too long is not a prob, it is when they are too short.
