Calculating hill gradients, what's the website called?!

Hi;

I remember a thread on here somewhere a while ago about how to calculate hill gradients, and there was a link on there to a website where you could enter points on a map and it would calculate the length of the hill and gradient between the two points. Can I find either the thread on here or the website on Google? Can I bugger!

Can anyone point me in the direction of the thread or know the website?

I use www.mapmyride.com - you have to enable the profile option at the bottom (and put up with the ads). The only issue is that with long rides it starts to average out sections so it misses some of those really steep bits!

Climbbybike allows you to enter your hill I have no idea how long it takes for them to do the profiles.

I prefer bikehike as the interface is very clean and it just does what I want without loads of bells and whistles which I don't use.
