2 Kona Kulas really got me back into biking the last few years.

Stock Kula which is now in the care of my mate - only the bars and saddle changed from stock

And my current Kula Primo custom:

Build:
Kula Primo 18" (Easton tubing)
Manitou Minute MRD 100mm forks
SLX brakes
XT Rear/SLX front derailleur, Deore shifters
Raceface Evolve XC crank

Raceface evolve stem & seatpost
Raceface Next XC Carbon low rise bars
Prologo Vertigo Max saddle
Wellgo mag platform pedals

Xero Element Pro xad-1 wheels
Maxxis Crossmark rear/Pana FireXC front

Not entirely sure of the weight but feels light to me and flies up hills (when the conditions suit the Crossmark!)

Just starting to build my Carbon 456 AM rig but plan to keep this for less technical days.

How heavy is the primo (you managed to find some scales)? What length stem havce you got on it?

Nice frame & should be a pretty good bike as you say.
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

My cheap bathroom scales are showing 11kg so 24.2.. List weight for the wheels is 1900gr so some weight could be shaved, but I like the look of them and they've performed really well (nice hubs, just recently needed tightening a little which was the first maintenance needed in 2 years)

    Stem is 90mm.
