Anyone know of anybody decent in this area that will do a decent bike fit....

not ever done it before - I assume you take your bike and they set it up...right? (stupid question probably)
Road - '10 Giant Defy 3.5
MTB - '05 Scott Yecora
BMX - '04 Haro Nyquist R24 (don't judge me)

  • Downland Cycles in Canterbury do them, although I've not tried it personally and don't know much else about the process.

If you want a really thorough job, I can't recommend Wyndymilla (just outside Guildford) enough.

This thread has a (long and wordy) account of my own bike fitting with them:

  • Wildside Cycles in Tunbridge Wells do the Specialized BG fit

Got my own bike dialled in to good fit and also sorted out a problem I'd been having with lower back pain.
Turned out one leg was a bit longer than the other. This was solved by moving one cleat forward and adding a thin riser to the other side between the cleat and the shoe.

Hey presto no more back pain.

Give them a call and see what they can do.

I can highly recommend both Wild Side and Downland's for what you are after, both very friendly, helpful and informative.
