Marin Quake bearings

Basically my Marin Quake (7.2, 08 model) has a weird 'clonk' sound upon compression, and you can feel a bump about halfway through. Other than that it's relatively smooth, so I doubt it's the bearings. Bushings?

And the linkage bolts need tightening up, to what should they be tourqued to?

    is it still there with the shock removed?

    Urm, i'll have to strip the frame to find that out i guess? Is it just a case of removing the bolts and pulling apart?
