Hello
My rp2 is making a slight squelch/suction noise on compression in both PP and fully open mode.
Is this some thing to worry about or could it just be the old? its less than a year old so still under warrenty.
Will take it to the bike shop when i get chance but that wont be until after my next ride.
Thanks for any adive

Squelchy/sucky would sound normal to me. Oil etc moving through the shock.
As long as it is smooth and has no grindy noises.

  • If the shock is behaving differently, such as having less affect with the propedal or inconsistant rebound or compression, the seal between the oil and nitrogen chambers may have 'blown' You will get some squealching due to the float fluid in the air can passing between the positve and negative chambers at the start of the travel.
