Paris - accommodation suggestions?

Greetings, fellow cycling enthusiasts,
Due to a colossal screw up by the French police at Lille our Eurostar journey was massively delayed at Christmas. As compensation we've generously been given a free journey, and I'm thinking to go to Paris for the last stage of the Tour.
Can anyone recommend a decent, not too pricey place to stay? There would probably be me and Potts junior. Any advice appreciated.
Cheers,
Steve

We are staying again next July.
family and i stayed here last summer. Great fun.£90 for room and huge superb buffet breakfeasts free tube passes.
they have an Imac on the wall so you can take pictures of yourself, and others if you wish!, on the bed and then email them to yourself or to the Hotel server.
have since found that if you enquire long enough in advance for a room can perhaps get a discount.

More upmarket but great value and tons of character:

Both in the best area of Paris to stay in, in my opinion (nr Place de Clichy).
