Specialized Sirius creaking fixed

Hi all

After riding around with a very annoying occasional creaking from my specialised Sirius and after putting copper grease on all possible culprits, it turned out to be that the seat post was raised a fraction and i mean a fraction to high.

So after drooping it droping it down about 4 mm the creaking has gone at last, so if you have a Sirius that creaks check your seat hight..
We are an online travel agency.

    4mm is quite a lot. What if one's saddle is now too low? Should one shave 4mm off one's feet :wink: ? So what are you saying? Your saddle height was too high, there is a fault with your saddle construction, saddle clamp to seat post, seat post itself, seat post clamp, lack of anti-seize paste/lubricant on the seat post? Could be any one of these.

    Yes dilemma it worked for me and really 4mm is not that much but it cured the problem which was quite frankly driving me nuts.

    I could be that the seat post need a bit of grease or that it did not like the height it was set at..or its a specialized thing and they like to creak... :wink:

    I have a Sirrus as well and my bike creaked as well. REALLY annoying. I like you greased all the things I could and mine turned out to be the seat post, greased that and the creak went, unlike your mine was in the right range height wise.
    Happy with it now though.
