Colnago Extreme Saronni size 65cm - Yes it`s a MAN`s bike 8)

Mixture of Campag Chorus & Record - Deda Zero stem.

Campag Record 36 hole hubs on Ambrosio Excellence rims ( do you think the old style gumwall tyres like the last pic would set the bike off ??

Why did Campag change there hubs from works of art to these horrible black and polished steel monstrosities ???

Please feel free to add your tuppence worth on how to add some "Bling" but done in a nice way not too tacky. Cheers

you must put out some Quadpower for the frame to melt at stretch by that much

Being 6`5" you learn to climb in the saddle :D

Will need to get rid of those black tyres and get some Veloflex`s retro gumwall and do it justice. will update when i get them fitted and hopefully have the garden in a tidy state :D

Lovely colourways but frames do lose some of their aesthetic quality IMO when you get into the very large sizes.
Definitely deserves a set of Veloflex Paves. 8)

That`s your opinion - fortunately were all not 5`2" MIDGETS with headtubes 2 inches long that my friend is UGLY.

If you look at this first, it looks normal.

I think could actually ride that thing! I bet I could stuff myself under the toptube, course i'll be riding under the saddle.
  • wow seriously big bike
    very nice
  • beautiful bike, very sensible solutions... are there Excellence rims?

Resist the coloured tyres, they just look silly on a "classic" bike, stick to black

It's not coloured tyres, natural sidewall, which IMO will be poifick!

    The wheels/hubs look stunning!

+1 for the Paves! This bike screams for some natural sidewall tyres...

Yes they are Ambrosio EXCELLENCE rims. OK it`s a toss up between Veloflex Roubaix`s or the New Vittoria open Corsa gumwalls that rabobank and quickstep were using. Oh for a pair of Clement Criterium`s now those were the dogs.

Now ditched the Fizik saddle bought a new 1990 Flite titanium. two minds to change back to Time pedals as i feel there better than Look.

Spoiled by the gap in the bar-tape :lol:

Oh and well done on removing the Arione - doesn't look right. I'm thinking black tape too. Keep it classy like the wheels.
