Rockshox MC 3.1 rear shock repair

Hi,
taken it apart (as shown below) and I can only see one thing wrong..

The 'black cirlce thing in the middle' has slightly ovalised...

Oh, the problem is that it makes a loud squeaky/slurp and is VERY stiff... :([/url]

    slurping is normal. being very stiff is normal.

    Squeaks can be normal or expensive.

    It barely moves when psi is at 100.

    Could it be the fact the black circle has ovalised?

    The can slides over the shaft smoothly but is letting air out of the far end.

    I don't really know which part the damper is, apologies for my naiveness, but the shock does not compress. (If that's what you meant?).

    Jesus! Sorry Nick, last comment was wrong...

    When I compress the shock it sounds, and feels, almost like metal is rubbing on metal inside...
