Fulcrum Racing 7 servicing

I was getting ready to set off on my daily commute this morning and when I spun my front wheel it didn't want to move. It turned by a few centimetres and stopped. Eventually I managed to get it spinning freely by cleaning the outside and working some oil into it but I can still feel something isn't right so I assume some dirt has got inside. How do I get the caps off to get to the bearings? I looked in my Zinn book but the methods described don't look like they apply to this wheel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Ahh, I see what appear to be circlips. I'm guessing I need to remove those and it'll pull apart.

Fulcrum 7s use cartridge bearings - sounds as though yours are toast - simply get some new ones and replace - usually a couple of quid each
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
