Dolan Arc
FFWD carbon disc rear (fixed gear)
FFWD F9r carbon front
FSA Carbon Track chainset - 170mm cranks
Easton carbon stem
Easton bars (one piece - carbon)
Alpina post / Alpina forks - carbon
Planet X front brake (worth checking out - awsome engineering)
Cane creek carbon f/lever
Vittoria tubs

Summary - using for flat time trials and hopefully some track work (though none yet). Bit twitchy if I'm honest. Has scared me once or twice but very fast. Also a little bit unforgiving if the road surface isn't so good.

  • Could you not move the rear wheel back a little to make it less twitchy? Looks like there's plenty of room in the dropouts to give you a longer wheel base
Has the head wind picked up or the tail wind dropped off???

That's actually quite a good piece of advice - anything that might help tame the steering. Will have to hunt around in my tool box and try and find some more chain links though.... hope I haven't thrown them!!

I think extra wheelbase will help but I'm also aware that the angle of the head (e.g. forks) is hellish steep. Hadn't truly realised this until I saw a photo of me with a few my mates, all with our bikes, stood next to each other. Compared to the Dolan - some of the other bikes looked they almost had 'chopper' forks!
