Was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for accommodation in the French Alps, I'm looking for a gite or holiday cottage during July for me and my girlfriend who isnt a cyclist. Previously we stayed in a static caravan in Bourg D'oisan but am looking for something a bit nicer to keep my other half happy - any suggestions? Pool would be nice too and open to any where were the riding is good?

I camped in Samoens last year, but it appears to have a lot of rental property too. It's a nice little town with a swimming complex (something like 3 pools, waterslide etc) and is at the foot of the Col de Joux Plane meaning you can head over to Morzine/Avoriaz. Not too far to drive out to get to other well known climbs like the Col de la Colombiere, Col des Saises, Col des Aravis and so on.
Le Grand Bornand is closer to these & I've read good things about it (accommodation http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/le-gra ... ind.squery) but haven't been there.
