After spending ages struggling with a long bar trying to get my bottom bracket undone I came up with brilliant idea. Pulled a crank off the trusty fixie and stuck the BB tool on the square taper. Turn the back wheel and you can generate massive torque with minimal effort. Came out real easy. Well here's a video to explain better.

    That's pretty damn resourceful !

I'd never thought of trying that, although with a 2ft 1/2" socket bar, I've never had problems undoing anything.

At least you've found a useful purpose for fixie bikes ! Maybe we'll see you with a cut-down portable version of this on Dragon's Den one day ?
