Recently acquired this little beauty. I know some people have had trouble with Ribble's customer service but I was very pleased with them.

    My, that's purdy!
    Just a minor niggle, for me, from a design standpoint;
    whats the 'banjo-string' top-tube cable routing all about?
    My mate Rob bought one two weeks back, and it is a lovely-looking
    bike, no doubt, but, as my old mother says, 'why spoil the ship for
    a ha'porth of tar?' - surely they could have routed that cable internally
    as it spoils - IMHO - the'flow' of the top tube and detracts from the
    the overall look of the bike.
    If Wales was flattened out, it'd be bigger than England!

    M'eh! Who cares! Much hassle for no gain really. The line of that wire is pretty subtle compared to the tangle of brake and gear cables at the front of the bike :lol:

    Declares self interest: must post my own rather different Gran Fondo here......
    Faster than a tent.......
  • HaHa Thanks guys.

    Yeah the line of the cable is a bit disappointing when you comapre it the the gorgeous ine of the top tube. But I can't see it from the saddle and others won't see it at the speed I'll be going so I won't worry too much. :D

    Rolf F, the cables do look a bit messy in the photo but I can assure you that is just due to the angle the photo was taken at.

    Lol - I wasn't having a dig at your specific cables - just that there isn't much reason to worry about a single bare cable along a top tube when there are a whole load of them hanging around the top tube! Nothing you can do about that......

    I think Ribble did a pretty decent job cabling up my Gran Fondo - particularly since they had to re do it having accidentally set them up UK style.
