  • Red is a good option if you aren't riding Campagnolo and can bear the graphics.

    Otherwise Campagnolo carbon UT

Anything Sram produces is a bad option if you want a good quality reliable groupset.

If this is what you are looking for, Campagnolo is the answer.

    Got this for sale = http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12744471

The cups aren't in a brilliant state (someone was a little heavy handed installing them so they have a few scratches etc. round the outsides!)

LOL ... I don't much care for SRAM either though their chainsets are among the better parts of the groups.

If you have Campag, Merlin are doing the Centaur UT carbon for £150.

Not bigging up SRAM by any means but I've not seen any bad words on the chainsets myself .......Campag UT on the other hand...... that's had a fair chunk of bad press in its time.

The Campag stuff certainly looks the business though.

Not much in it between Red and Record in terms of performance

  • Yeah, I think it's one of the better parts of the SRAM group - along with the brakes, whcih are very good.

Q-factor would be a PITA coming from Campagnolo.

I find CULT bearings the smoothest of the main manufacturers' offerings.

And IMO Campagnolo carbon looks far nicer than Red.

But the 52-36 option is sweet - wish Campag offered that stock.
