You say 'need', but do you really need some of those parts? The quick release items work fine. I'd save th emoney there and buy some lighter pedals.

Don't buy a helmet online unless you know if fits - I'd try some on in a store.

How about a Camelbak type thing?

Alright yeah, do you mean backpack or bottle? i have a camelbak podium chill bottle at the moment. And any suggestions for the pedals?

Many pedal threads, but these are my favourites, and the ones I use on my Zaskar:

Lots of tarty stuff there  Nothing wrong with that but you're definately spending money you don't need to.

Quick release seatclamp is a very good idea. Decent pedals too, yup, and worth spending a wee bit more IMO- like SS says, MG1s are good. Superstar Nanos also good. The pedals that come with bikes are almost always mince.

Grips and wheel QRs, you do not need but why not if you want to? Bottle cage, a camelbak or similiar is more effective

That's a very expensive (and nice) speedo, you sure you want to spend that much? They can be nice to have but few people use them on mtbs. You could get something effective for a fraction of the price, or just not bother.

Sunglasses... Well, open to debate that. I just wear Bolle safety specs that cost me about £3. I've got a set of Madison multi-lens glasses that cost £15 I think. The DHB ones are good too but not required.

I'd just forget the tyre liners personally. You might want to budget for a more practical winter tyre, the Speed Kings are OK but they're not very good with mud.

really like the look of them pedals, have wellgos on my other bike and love them, they are so tough, thinking of them in white.
and yes mate just going for the looks with some of the stuff qrs etc. I like the speedo though, mate has one and it looks sick. and yeah i'm not sure about the shades, might just get cheap ones. as for the tire liners i'm all for them, the amount of punctures i get i need them, heard the speed kings are rapid, but not too grippy, recommendations?

Heh. I always say Kenda Nevegals, since one pair of tyres can do everything, but everyone's got their preferences. Minions, highrollers, eskars, and so on. A good quality tyre and tube run at the right pressure will give you few punctures unless you're riding through thorn bushes and broken glass...

Ah, that's one I forgot. Yeah, they're good, they're all good these days  But Nics are a bit expensive IMO. Still plenty of people rate them.
