Hi

A freind of mine has been suffering with chainsuck and replaced his chain as he thought that that was the issue.

He changed his chain for a new one and had the samre issue. It only happens on the Granny ring (inner ring) and is fine in all of the other rings.

He has an XT crankset and has only had it for about 6 months. Is it worth him replaceing it with another XT inner, they are only 20 quid - or get something that is compatible that isn't made of butter?

Is an SLX stronger?

  • Yes- he is suffering from Chain Suck

We have both seen that site before and that is how we determined the issue. I just wanted to know if there is a decent stronger alternative to the XT Inner.
