Need to plug the underneath of the steerer tube on my fox forks - rather than just shove any old thing in there I was wondering if there's something "offiical" (for want of a better word), that I can buy to do the job?

Ducktape. Job done.
Or put a star fangled nut and a top cap in if you are really pedantic about itAnd now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Someone used to sell those red bungs years back for this purpose. I still have one fitted to the bommer z1's on my 1997 Zaskar0

I remmember those! Red plastic plugs, think they even gave them away in a mountain biking magazine one month. Ive got a head lock on my hardtail and just used some rubberised foam on my other bike. How about a cheap plastic bar end?0

I have an old bar end plug in mine.... does the job..0

Take it out every so often though - moisture can collect in there.0
