Hi folks
I am looking for a good quality computer which is wireless and is PC downloadable. With HR, Cadence and preferably under £100. Have always used Cateye before but thought I should shop around this time. Any thoughts?

  • To get HR & Cadence for under £100, you may struggle.

But for what it is worth, I have used the following 3 makes:

    * Garmin Edge 305- nice at first but a bit fragile....GPS novelty wears off (i.e. you don't really need it!)
    * Polar CS400 - good computer but awful at transferring data to computer (infra-red connection
    * Sigma Rox 9.0 (current computer) - easier connection to computer and analysis is good. Seems fine so far though it did crash on me today (solved by loosening the battery).

Bought the Sigma off eBay which was unused......find the right seller, this may be your cheapest option!
Summer - Dolan Tuono with Sram Force and Dura-Ace 7850 CL Carbon wheels
Winter - old faithful Ribble winter bike
SugarSync cloud storage referral link (better than DropBox atm imho) https://www.sugarsync.com/referral?rf=mzo2tcrhm5gn
  • You can get a forerunner 305 from amazon for just over £100 at the moment, not bad for the money, just ordered one.
