Get back to the fitness I was in by the summer then just enjoy riding before I go to uni where I doubt I will be able to take the bike :(

Where are you going? Plenty of unis have cycling clubs.
You live and learn. At any rate, you live

you had better join a better club than your football team otherwise 95% of the members will live more than 50 miles away, and only 22% ever turn up to a club event!!

I've done a metric century this year and am on target to do 1000miles (only started road cycling in mid july) so I guess it's:
    1) do an imperial century
    2) 2000 miles in 2011

Bournemouth hopefully, its not really the clubs its the storage of the bike. I don't really want to leave my Road and MTB locked up outside because I wont get too sleep at night, so the only option is in the dorm but then the dorms are only just big enough for 1 person let alone 1 person and 2 bikes :/ so its a matter of taking the 1 bike and thats going to be a hard decision *sigh*
I got one of these to keep two bikes in the kitchen, might solve a problem for you?

Good plan! It's only 140 miles so I guess if you can do 100 miles it's fairly doable to do 70 miles on consecutive days? I've seen a postcard on the top of Hartside pass in cumbria for a B&B that will collect you (and bikes) in a minibus and then take you back the next morning... Plus the cafe at the top does ace cakes and cuppas! :)
