Got a set of brake cables and toying between the two options of running one piece from lever and brake or splitting as per the current outer. I've got some hydro hose clamps for the one piece run but would you run 2 pieces or 1?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Closed cable runs are more fuss-free IME - downside is increased cable drag

Going one piece, the return spring on the brakes is at the highest tension. Only really need it for the rear but different colours front & rear ain't gonna look right :)

Surely no need to go full outer all the way, as the Gore cables have a full inner cover to do that, do they not?...
My Gore Pro kit does, anyway... :?

In two minds now after doing the one piece thing last night, didn't finish the fit as I need to replace the brakeblocks too. One piece doesn't look as good as two, will have another look at it when I get back from the shops.

I have full-length liners with split outers on a couple of bikes - truly fit and forget - a C-X bike that gets regularly jet-washed is about as hard as it gets on cables.
