A female colleague has asked me for recommendations for a bike at around the £500 mark.

She is pretty sporty but not comfortable with drops so I showed her a flat bar road bike and she said that looked about right to her (I don't think she is a nazi or a paedo though). She will probably be a fair weather cyclist so I doubt it needs disc brakes, mudguards etc

I suggested the Giant Rapid 4, but has anyone else got any recommendations?

I sent her that link for the Comp FI and despite the carbon forks, 105 and Tiagra groupset, compact chainset, Ritchey Pro 20H front and 24H rear rims, I was greeted with "Oooh, I like that, what a nice colour."

    Some women, eh?

That is a bit pricey for her. £500 is the top of her budget. Nice bike though.
