I'm thinking of buying a the new Felt AR5 (green & black).

Was wondering if anyone out there has got one and what they think of them, or in fact anyone that has any comments to pass on them

cheers

  • I've not ridden the AR5, but have ridden the AR1 and 2 and have nothing but praise for it. The AR5 uses the same frame as the other AR's but uses a slightly lower grade carbon although you would be hard pushed to notice the difference. The bike is very stiff under power, yet is comfortable when just cruising along. Out of the saddle and cornering the bike feels fast and responsive.

The 105 groupset on the 2011 is good enough for anything, the wheels, although not the lightest, are stiff and spin well. The rest of the finishing kit is the same as you would expect on any bike in that price range.

When compared to its rivals, the cervelo s1 for example its great value for money.

I would recommend checking out the sizing as they have got quite a long top tube. I usually ride a 54cm frame, but could comfortably ride a 51cm AR frame.
