some good quality allen keys are the most important thing. Do not get crap ones. Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0

Have a look at the kits.
Casstte tool and chain whip would be good to add.
And cone spanners.
Could also put a torque wrench on your Xmas list.0 -
Break your chain now and insert a missing link/power link to aid in cleaning.
Quality allen keys, spare inner tubes and torx keys if you have any bolts that require them (brake rotors)0 -
A decent maintenance book like Zinn's or Park Tools.0

have allen keys in garage good quality and also torque wrench. Thinking more for tools on the move if out on bike etc0

does your torque wrench go low enough for typical bike torques or is it more car orientated?0

+1 for the low torque wrench.
Getting one that really works down under 10nm is critical for modern bikes.Craig Rogers0 -
right before all the tech stuff where is bes tplace to buy items above i spoke about. More general maintenance and cleaning products0

any shop. on the net or local.
but that is a buying question and there is a forum for that.
have a look in it and you will see lots of questions asking the same thing."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
