Trendz have a Ti rail saddle for £24.99

and winstanleys have the charge spoon Cro-mo Rail Saddle at £19.99

Are they the same or is there a differance apart from the price.

  • If you look they are actually both the cro-mo version - so buy the cheaper one.

Ti rail- the rails are made of titanium which is lighter & stronger than cro-mo steel
The ti-rail comes with leather uppers if I'm not mistaken and is about £60

Great saddles the both of them though - very comfy & light
  • I have the £20 one and it's wonderfully comfortable.
  • Thanks...Ordered
  • please take a second look before you order, i may be wrong but its seems the cromoly rails are £24 and the ti rails are £44.

The Ti is not really "stronger" than chromoly steel - depends on the alloys but they are ususally very similar.

The benefit with titanium is it is lighter for the same cross section and lower modulus so it will actually have bit more give. If the rails are about the same cross section it will be 'just as strong' but a bit more forgiving on your backside and lighter.
